Question about iphone?

I lost my iphone, and it wasn't locked so whoever found it can see my info. I have a question, if my mom called the phone company and disabled my phone and blocked it and w/e so that the person needs to get a new sin card, can they still see my information? Is there anyway I can get it erased? Thnaks!
