Did Hamlet really love Ophelia?

Yes, he really did love Ophelia. He spent most of his energy, however, on getting revenge on King Claudius though, which is why the whole thing seems fishy. If you reread, you'll notice that he's insane around the general public but he is actually sane. His insanity causes him to say rude things around Ophelia, although he does not truly mean them. Also, he tells Horatio that he is simply pretending to be insane. He does love Ophelia--that is apparent at her death.
