How to have a healthy diet being a vegetarian?

I don't eat meat and I've recently began to realize how little protein I get in my diet. I'm trying to get in shape and lose weight this summer, and I'm wondering what foods I can start eating to get my protein. I'm ALWAYS hungry, and usually eat whatever I want, but it's usually food that has no nutritional value. I love eggs, but I'm not sure if they are a good source of protein or what. I've started working out, too, which I haven't before, so I'm hoping by the end of the summer I can lose my extra weight and be in shape. Any tips for not always thinking about food, or good food choices that can fill me up and give me protein would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
